Claude Systems Infra Red Audio Transmission
Infra Red systems operate on a 'line of sight' basis, and as such, are best suited to areas or rooms where levels of confidentiality are required, as the beams of infra red light will not pass through walls etc.
The Beams of modulated infra red light are sent out from an infra red radiator connected to the desired sound source. This source may be a microphone, or Audio / Video source.
They are then picked up by a infra red receiver, converted back to an audio source and fed into a 'Neck Loop' worn by the user, allowing the user to switch their hearing aid to the 'T' position and pick up the desired sounds with clarity.
Infra red systems are often used where it is not possible to install a conventional loop system, such as listed or historic buildings where intrusion into the fabric of the building is an issue.
